These birds seem very opinionated! Our design source for this pin was the 19th-century work Two Crows on a Branch Overlooking Asakusa at Dawn, 1883, by Japanese artist Kawanabe Kyōsai 河鍋暁斎.

Nicknamed "The Painting Demon" by a mentor, likely for his prolific output – and fondness for sake, he is credited with creating the first manga magazine in 1874.
