Our versatile Meadow Blouse buttons down the front and at the cuffs, and ties at the waist. Pair with our matching ‘Kyōsai Skeletons’ Popover Dress for a total look.
Our original print of skeletons frolicking in a graveyard was designed by DAPPER DAY Founder, Justin J., with 19th-century illustrations by the celebrated (and notorious) Japanese artist Kawanabe Kyōsai 河鍋暁斎 1831-1889.
Kyōsai created the name he would make famous by combining the characters kyō (狂) with sai (斎), which translates from the Japanese to either “parodic studio” or “crazy studio.”
